4XXX series digital thyristor converters for direct current (DC) motors with independent excitation
The 4XXX series thyristor converters are designed for the precise speed and position control of DC motors with independent excitation for main and servo drives. Their control is realized by modern DSP processors and it enables extensible functional drive possibilities, high reliability and stability of the operating characteristics.
Depending on the functional capabilities, the 4XXX converters are divided into four series:
- 4ХХХ-ХХХ-1Х series - basic series with speed and torque control;
- 4ХХХ-ХХХ-2Х series - with position control from internal reference and with MODBUS;
- 4ХХХ-ХХХ-3Х series - with position control from internal reference, with MODBUS and with a function of active backlash compensation in the mechanics;
- 4ХХХ-ХХХ-4Х series - with position control from internal reference, from external pulse reference (dir/step) and with a function of active backlash compensation in the mechanics.
12/13/14XXX series digital thyristor converters for controlling permanent magnet DC motors
The 12XXX series thyristor converters are designed for the precise speed control of DC motors for servo drives. Their control is realized by modern DSP processors and it enables a wide speed regulation range, high reliability and stability of the operating characteristics.
Depending on the functional capabilities, the converters are divided into following series:
- 12XXX series - basic series with speed and torque control. They are designed for CNC control;
- 13XXX series - with control by position from internal reference, with MODBUS. They are designed for CNC control, PLC with serial interface or independent work;
- 14ХХХ series - with control by position from internal reference, from external pulse reference (dir/step), with MODBUS. They are designed for CNC Sinumerik 808D, PLC with a pulse command to move, PLC with serial interface control or independent work;
12XXX WSM series digital thyristor converters for controlling permanent magnet DC motors
The 12XXX WSM series thyristor converters are designed for the precise speed control of DC motors WSM series for feeding drives. Their control is realized by modern DSProcessors and it enables a wide speed regulation range, high reliability and stability of the operating characteristics.
According to their purpose, the 12XXX WSM series converters are universal and they can completely replace the old analog converters TUD 6 series in feeding drives type WSA 2. They have built-in functions and interface which are optimal for feeding drive controls in CNC machines.

The terminal is used for setting and visualization of the parameters of converters of type 4XXX or 12XXX manufactured by ELL company.
Converter CONV_RES/ENC 01 resolver to quadrature encoder
The CONV_RES/ENC 01 converter is designed to convert resolver signals into quadrature encoder pulses. It is used when implementing speed or position feedback of drives, to create closed positioning systems, etc., in which a resolver is used as a feedback sensor. The converter is particularly suitable for direct connection to thyristor converters of the 4XXX, 12XXX, 13XXX and 14XXX series when they control DC motors with built-in resolvers, for example RB02.
